As the sun sets on the month of June...

As the sun sets on the month of June, I wanted to emphasize the connections between the subjects discussed this month. The importance of racial equality, Father's Day, graduation, and Pride Month all have one thing in common...the celebration of each other and the milestones we approach as a society and individuals.

My "Teach Love" campaign began the conversation by providing resources for ways in which we can discuss the overwhelming hatred and violence, due to racial injustice, that consumed the media. However, as the month progressed towards graduation season, Father's Day, and Pride Month, I found these resources helpful when approaching a multitude of current events. There are a variety of family distinctions and figures that should be celebrated during the month of June and in the future.
